BASKETBALL
This game was invented by James
Naismith in 1891 in the USA. Basketball is a team game. Each team has five
players. The game is played on a court. The aim of the game is to throw the
ball into your opponent’s basket. The baskets are at both ends of the court and
are usually 3.05 metres above the ground.
Netball is like basketball and was
invented at the same time in the USA. Netball is played by women and girls.
There are seven players on each team. The court is 30.5 metres long and 15.25
metres wide. The aim of the game is to throw your ball into your opponent’s
basket.
