Yesaya 11

 Dear all, untuk yang ber-saat teduh dengan Yesaya 11, sekedar berbagi.

ITB  Isaiah 11:3 ya, *kesenangannya* (7306) ialah takut (3374) akan TUHAN. Ia tidak akan menghakimi dengan sekilas pandang saja atau menjatuhkan keputusan menurut kata orang.

ESV  Isaiah 11:3 And his delight shall be in the *fear* of the LORD. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

NIV  Isaiah 11:3 and he will delight in the *fear* of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;

NET  Isaiah 11:3 He will take delight in *obeying* the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.

KJV  Isaiah 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding <07306> (08687) in the fear <03374> of the LORD <03068>: and he shall not judge <08199> (08799) after the sight <04758> of his eyes <05869>, neither reprove <03198> (08686) after the hearing <04926> of his ears <0241>: {quick...: Heb. scent or, smell}

7306 רוּחַ ruwach {roo'-akh} 

Meaning:  *1) (Hiphil) to smell, scent, perceive odour, accept* 1a) of horse 1b) of delight (metaph) 

Origin:  a primitive root; TWOT - 2131; v

Usage:  AV - smell 8, touch 1, quick understanding 1, accept 1; 11

The Hebrew text reads literally, *"and his smelling is in the fear of the Lord."*  In Amos 5:21 the Hiphil of רוּחַ (ruakh, "smell") carries the nuance of "smell with delight, get pleasure from.

3374 יִרְאָה yir'ah {yir-aw'} 

Meaning:  1) fear, terror, fearing 1a) fear, terror 1b) awesome or terrifying thing (object causing fear) *1c) fear (of God), respect, reverence, piety* 1d) revered

Usage:  AV - fear 41, exceedingly + 01419 2, dreadful 1, fearfulness 1; 45
