Dear Sir,

        I’m writing to complain about foreign pop music on the radio. Why can’t we have more Indonesian music like Jaipongan ? Jaipongan was the first Indonesian pop music. It comes from the culture of West Java and it uses Indonesian traditional musical instruments. This music was very popular in the late seventies and early eighties. It is a truly Indonesian pop music.

        In contrast, the Indonesian music we hear everywhere is so unreal. This music uses western instruments and musical styles from overseas rock music, western pop, Indian film music and popular music from the middle east. It is so not Indonesian !.

Dear dion,

        I have been to the Mount Palung Nature Reserve. From Pontianak I travelled by boat to melanu bay. The journey task us all day. I stayed in a losmen for the night. The next morning I travelled along a river for four hours. Then I walked for ten hours to the rain forest.

        The next day I walked around the rainforest and saw orang-utans, monkeys and many birds. I took many photographs. I enjoyed my visit and hope to go back there nect year.

Dear Andi,

        You asked me what I do on Sundays. I always get up about seven o’clock. I have breakfast and then I usually meet my friend rudy. We often play tennis in the morning. Occasionally, when it’s raining, we play table tennis. Sometimes in the afternoon we go swimming. Occasionally we go to the cinema. I rarely go out in the evening. I usually stay at home and watch television with my family.
