PROK, part of the NEPEAN Group, is a global leader in conveyor components and solutions. We are seeking a Site Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for PROK products, including pulleys, idlers, and Belt Condition Monitoring Systems (BCMS), at a major mining operation.

Working closely with site operations, maintenance, and reliability teams, you will play a key role in ensuring conveyor assets are operating safely, efficiently, and reliably through proactive inspections, troubleshooting, condition monitoring, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for HX Belt Condition Monitoring Systems (BCMS), including field inspections, system health checks, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Monitor belt condition data, alarms, and performance trends, identifying developing issues and delivering clear technical reports and recommendations.

• Support preventive maintenance activities and planned shutdowns involving HX and belt monitoring equipment to ensure system reliability and availability.

• Collaborate closely with site instrumentation, operations, and maintenance teams to maximize monitoring system performance and conveyor asset reliability.

• Participate in failure investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) for conveyor systems, HX units, and PROK equipment, driving effective corrective actions.

• Conduct regular audits and condition assessments of pulleys, idlers, and conveyor systems, identifying risks and opportunities for performance improvement.

• Verify conveyor components and field installations against engineering drawings, datasheets, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards.

• Monitor critical HX and PROK spare parts and consumables, supporting inventory planning and equipment availability.

• Support the installation, commissioning, field trials, and continuous improvement of PROK products and monitoring solutions.

• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare professional technical, condition monitoring, and service reports for customers and PROK engineering teams.

• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and HSE

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in in electrical & instrumentation, automation, mechatronics, physics, mechanical or related discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation, mining operations, bulk material handling, conveyor systems, crushing and screening, or related heavy equipment applications. Fresh graduates with internship experience in mining are welcome to apply.

• Strong technical knowledge of conveyor systems, conveyor components, material handling equipment, and industrial monitoring or automation systems.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Experience in electrical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis will be an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, operations, and maintenance teams.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a remote mining site environment.

• Willingness to travel and work on a roster basis at customer mine sites at Papua

• Prior experience supporting mining OEM equipment, monitoring technologies, or condition monitoring systems will be highly regarded.
