EXIT FROM JAKARTA
If you want to have a holiday from
Jakarta, take the Jagorawi Toll road to Bogor. From Bogor take the road to
Puncak Pass. Travel through the tea plantations. Stop at the Rindu Alam
Restaurant on the right before the peak. Enjoy the spectacular view of Jakarta
and the coast. Walk across the road and follow the path down to Telaga Warna
(“Lake of many Colours”).
Seven kilometers after Puncak Pass,
you will find a road to the right. This road will take you to the Cibodas
Botanical Gardens. You can walk around the gardens. You can also climb up to
the peaks of Mount Gede and Mount Pangrango. The climb will take six hours.
When you come down from the Peaks you can go a hotel in Cipanas. You will sleep
very well.
